WaMu owes me money! I signed up for a basic checking account over the Internet on their website and sent in a one-dollar deposit to activate the account. A few months went by and I never received my check card or checks! I called them up and they said that they couldn't approve my request for a checking account at that time and my account was closed. They told me they'd mail the deposit back to me in 2 weeks. It has been OVER A YEAR NOW and I still receive statements for my $1.00 that they have on my "closed" account. Too bad it's not collecting interest!
